For kids that are ready to move beyond the sippy cup this is your best option. The bite valve flips down to prevent spilling and the straw easily detaches for cleaning. The tapered base allows it to fit just about any cup holder and makes it easy for small hands to hold. We reccomend this style for kids 2 years and up. We have found that some kids under 2 may a harder time coordinating a simultaneous bite and suck. It is possible to remove the straw for kids that really insist on tipping and sucking.
